UpArate

Walkthrough

See UpArate on a real tanker voyage.

Five minutes, end-to-end: a recap arrives, the engine drafts the relay, an LOI template auto-fills, and an SOF schedules the B/L chase.

By the Numbers

The economics of an operator's day.

Numbers from UpArate's design partner — a senior tanker operator on a busy desk. Your mileage will vary by trade and fleet size.

140
Messages / day

The average inbound volume a tanker operator processes — across recaps, voyage orders, invoices, SOFs, ETAs, and the long tail of one-offs.

75%
Relayed automatically

The share of inbound traffic that is mechanical relay between charterer and owner — the part UpArate drafts, fills, and schedules without typing.

6–10
Voyages / operator

The active workload UpArate is designed for — concurrent voyages an operator tracks at once without losing the thread on any one of them.

What You Just Saw

Three moments to watch for.

  1. 1

A recap arrives, the draft writes itself.

Charterers send a recap for MT GULF SENTINEL. The classifier picks it up, the extractor pulls vessel, ports, laycan, freight rate, and a relay-to-Owner draft is in the operator's queue before the email is even opened.

  2. 2

An LOI template fills itself in.

A blank P&I Club indemnity attached to an inbound — Form A, B, or C auto-detected. Vessel, voyage, port, B/L number filled green from the charter party + voyage state. Operator confirms the amber fields and sends.

  3. 3

An SOF schedules the B/L chase.

Port agent's Statement of Facts arrives. UpArate reads COSP off the document, schedules the bill-of-lading chase alert, and respects EDP suppression when the document marks it. No one has to remember.
